Budiman Sudjatmiko
Indonesia’s MP, Member of Commission II of DPR RI from PDIP. University of Cambridge and SOAS Alumnus

Budiman is a well-known as student activist during the 1996-1998 period prior to the fall of Soeharto and the initiator of the Village Law (passed in 2014) which give broader rights for villages to govern themselves and is promoting e-governance at village level. He holds two master degrees on State, Society and Development from University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and on International Relations from the University of Cambridge. Currently Mr Budiman is the Coordinator of Advisory Board of P-APDESI (Perkumpulan Aparatur Pemerintah Desa Seluruh Indonesia/Association of the Village Goverrnments in Indonesia)
