Indonesian Ambassador/Alternate Permanent Delegate to UNESCO

T. A. Fauzi Soelaiman is the Ambassador/Alternate Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Indonesia to UNESCO, with the role of enhancing the multi-lateral cooperation with Indonesia under the framework of UNESCO, while enhancing the positive image of Indonesia at UNESCO. His goal is to gain as much as possible the benefit of UNESCO for the interest of Indonesia and the whole world. A part of his role is also showcasing Indonesia’s culture to the international audience by initiating Indonesian cultural events and art performances in UNESCO’s Headquarter, in Paris.

Prior to his current role, he was the Education Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in London. He is also a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at ITB, Bandung. He received his PhD from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, USA.
